Referral Program Rules

  1. If you refer a teacher we hire, you will receive a $350 referral bonus subject to the rules below.
  2. Within three months of the first day that your referral formally reports for work, we'll send you a $350 check.
  3. You must submit the referral form, having completed all required fields, to be eligible for the referral bonus.
  4. All KIPP New Orleans employees and non-KIPP New Orleans employees are eligible to receive the referral bonus. Some examples include:
    1. Parents, colleagues and supporters of KIPP New Orleans
    2. Managers of Teacher Leadership Development at Teach For America
    3. Seminar Leaders with LPTP
  5. The following referrals are not eligible to receive the referral bonus:
    1. Referrals of 1st year Teach For America corps members or teachNOLA teaching fellows
    2. Anyone whose job requirements directly relate to the placement or hiring of teachers at KIPP New Orleans Schools (e.g. Alumni Affairs at Teach For America, KIPP New Orleans leadership and recruiting team members)
  6. Candidates for KIPP New Orleans employment may not refer themselves to receive a referral bonus.
  7. Referrals must be hired for full-time teaching positions to be eligible for the referral bonus.
  8. If more than one person refers a candidate to KIPP New Orleans, the referral bonus will be awarded to the first referral received, as noted by the date/time the referral form was received. 
  9. There is no limit to the number of referral bonuses that an individual may receive.
