“We are so proud and honored to be afforded the opportunity host a vaccination clinic for teachers and all eligible people in New Orleans,” said KNOS Chief Strategy Officer Joey LaRoche. “Since the very beginning of this pandemic, KNOS has been doing our part in the fight against COVID-19. This event was special because we were able to work firsthand in getting as many people protected as possible from COVID-19. After working to get our KNOS teachers vaccinated, we were able to assist other area and parish educators with getting vaccinated as well. We are grateful to have such great partners like NOEH to provide vaccinations to our community. Returning to normal life doesn’t seem so far when we can have these types of impactful events.”

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, New Orleans East Hospital has been serving patients and the community by providing support, resources and testing. “It truly is a pleasure to be able to provide vaccinations to the city of New Orleans,” said NOEH Chief Financial Officer and KNOS Board Member Danielle Willis. “We strongly believe that getting vaccinated is the next step our community can take in fighting COVID-19.”

After Governor John Bel Edwards extended the Louisiana COVID-19 vaccination eligibility to include all PK-12 school staff, KNOS has been working to partner with local healthcare providers to give vaccines to KNOS staff members. So far, over 500 KNOS educators have received the COVID-19 vaccine and through the continued partnership with NOEH, KNOS is able to host vaccine clinics for other eligible people across the city.
