KNOS Seniors to Graduate May 15 at UNO

We are delighted to announce that high school seniors from Booker T. Washington High School, John F. Kennedy High School and Frederick A. Douglass High School will be graduating on Monday, May 15th at the UNO Lakefront Arena, 6801 Franklin Ave., New Orleans. This is an incredible milestone for our students and their families, and we are thrilled to celebrate their achievements with them.
Ceremonies will be held at the following times: 
  • 9 a.m. – Booker T. Washington High School
  • 1 p.m. – John F. Kennedy High School
  • 5 p.m. – Frederick A. Douglass High School 
To help families plan for this momentous occasion, we would like to share some important information about the ceremony:
  • Doors will open to the arena one hour before the ceremony, please arrive promptly to ensure that everyone gets a good seat. Seats cannot be reserved or held by patrons attending the ceremony.
  • We kindly ask that all attendees exit the arena within 30 minutes after the ceremony, to allow us to prepare for the next event. Your cooperation with this policy is greatly appreciated.
  • As part of our security measures, all guests will be asked to submit to a hand wand metal detector scan prior to entrance.
  • Only small bags and baby bags will be permitted inside the venue.
  • The following items are not permitted in the Arena: noise makers, balloons, large signs, weapons, bottles, cans, fireworks, outside food, beverages, or alcohol, lasers, spiked jewelry, chains (including those on wallets), backpacks, large purses or bags, glow sticks, and other items deemed unsafe to others. Items will be confiscated at the door.
  • There is no parking charge at commencement.
  • To help us manage the parking lot, we request that you place your respective school sign in the front window of your car before entering the lot.
  • The Lakefront Arena is a non-smoking facility.
