Families with First Student Transportation

Dear KNOS Families:

We are continuing our efforts to offer an incentive to help combat our bus transportation issues due to the nationwide bus driver shortage. We understand this interruption is extremely frustrating and it has a major impact on our school community. Our goal is to provide as many options as possible to ensure all scholars are in school every day.

KNOS families can either: continue to ride the school bus, receive RTA tokens, walk to school or drive/carpool to school. Each family must complete the survey below and select an option.
Families that choose to drive/carpool their students to school may once again sign up to receive a transportation stipend of $200. Parents opting to receive the transportation stipend for the period of Nov 1 – Dec. 22 may sign up below.

For the parents that chose to drive/carpool their students to school and completed the survey for the prior month, we will begin distributing the payout soon. A notification will be sent with the confirmed date.
Families that have not picked up their stipend for the previous period, please contact your school to arrange a time to pick up your stipend.

Transportation stipends will be paid out at the end of the period. Once a household family opts-in to receiving the stipend, they will be removed from the school bus roster. Students will also be required to attend school every day during the month to receive the stipend, not including excused absences. Families that opt-in to receiving the stipends will receive more information after making their selection.

TRANSPORTATION SURVEY

Please complete the mandatory survey for each child in your household by Friday, October 29, 2021 at 5 p.m.
Those that want to still ride the school bus, will still be able to do so and we will continue to work through all school bus related concerns.

TRANSPORTATION SURVEY
